Looks amazing! After all these years, we finally have a health centre with hot, running water! And a solar installation too - wow!! Can hardly wait to see all the improvements.

BRAVO to all who had a hand in this rebuild. What a wonderful photo journal this is. I only wish there were some captions/date timelines. Silver Lake and all Silver Lakers in body, mind and spirit are awesome. Soli Deo Gloria.

The plans do look great. I particularly like the big double hung windows to provide more air circulation.

It may be too late to add comments. I am trying to get my head around the petitions. Are the petitions planned to be solid floor to ceiling, creating mini bedrooms similar to a sleeper car on a train? Will that make everyone feel more divided and disrupt those bunk to bunk conversations. I am thinking about all those tete a tete conversations that happened during my camper days. On the other hand, perhaps it will allow for more restful rest periods and campers may very much welcome the sense of having their own rooms.

Would a partial petition make sense? Campers could talk over the wall instead of around it? On the other hand perhaps its a good experiment making the mini bedrooms with the full petitions. We may discover it enhances the camper experience. Love to hear your thoughts on it. I suppose if they are deemed a barrier, later, they can always be cut in half.

Good points Ben - and YES, we do need/want your thoughts! We are working on the storage see this response to another comment regarding storage and privacy "We are designing the bunks to allow for a hockey bag (luggage of choice for campers these days) at the foot end of each. To prevent over-spill into the next bunk and provide privacy for campers each bed/bunk will be separated end to end by a full partition that will have small shelves for pictures etc."

The idea of a bigger porch for program space is something we have talked about and will look to see what the budget allows. No doubt a covered porch of any size will be a welcome addition to the cabin design.

Trying to balance privacy with having an open, community space is difficult, but..............we have tried. Each bed/bunk will be separated at the ends by a full partition that will have small shelves for pictures etc. That will provide privacy from immediate "bunk neighbours". Thanks for the email!
