outtrip programs

All Outtrips have a minimum of two lifeguards (National Lifeguard certification), staff with previous trip experience and most trips will have a staff with Wilderness Advanced First Aid or Wilderness First Responder.

Swim Assessments

To ensure camp safety, we require all of our Outtrip campers to complete the Silver Lake Swim Assessment (approximately 100 metres swimming and 5 minutes treading water*). Campers who do not pass the swim assessment must wear a PFD on, in or near the water. All campers and staff must wear a PFD while canoeing.
*
Please note: Young eXplorer campers are required to do approximately 100 metres swimming and 3 minutes of treading water.

Registering for Outtrips

If your first choice outtrip is full, please add your child’s name to the waitlist! We will fill one of each trip at a time and will open the next when we have enough campers waitlisted. Once you have added your child’s name to the first choice waitlist, register for a second choice option. If we are able to open more trips in your first choice, we will contact you about making a switch.

Outtrip registration opens early so, if your choice of trip is not available, you have time to consider overnight camp before registration opens.
