Quotes from Parents

We just wanted to say that we thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for such wonderful camp experiences over the years for all of our three children. As we have said in the past, SLMC is by far the best investment we have made for our childrens’ future – lifelong memories, friendships and personal growth experiences.

I would just like to write a quick note to thank you for giving my child the most unforgettable camp experience. She recently attended the Arts and Adventure 10 day program and returned home yesterday absolutely beaming from the friendships, activities and adventures that she experienced. She participated in the Out trip program and I was truly proud of the things she learned and experienced. Please thank the Sumac counsellors for ensuring that my little girl had a wonderful time and was well taken care of. I would also like to thank you for providing the camp sponsorship. For the smiles and stories she came home with and shared I am forever grateful. These are memories that will last her a lifetime and truly benefit her social development and self esteem.
Thank you again,

Tracy Miller

I just wanted to let you know what a great time Jason had at camp this week. I asked him how he would rate it on a scale from 1 to 10 and it was an automatic 10 and he’s sure he wants to come back next year.

We’re really glad he had such a great time. We had a few reservations about sending him…we’ve always worried a bit more about him than our other three children…life has presented him with a few more challenges and we’ve/ he has spent a lot of time working with them. So when he comes away from a week “on his own” and has loved it, we are very happy and relieved. You must have an awesome staff to deal with kids with such a wide variety of personalities/ gifts/ limitations. Thank you so much for all your time and effort in making the week so great for Jason. He doesn’t often explain in detail things that he has experienced (verbalizing things…not so easy for him), but he had a lot to say about his week at Silver Lake.

Thanks again!
